The apartment is located in a downtown historic building, there is a restaurant and wedding venue in the beautiful building. Like any downtown area there is a variety of pedestrian traffic in the area, from nearby offices and restaurants with the likelihood of experiencing typical downtown noise especially on weekends. The washer and dryer are a combo washer and dryer.

Other Details to Note

While the building typically operates with multiple elevators, occasional interruptions may occur. These are often resolved quickly by the building management, but in rare cases, the elevator may be temporarily out of service. The apartment is on a high floor, so please consider this before booking if mobility or stair access is a concern. We want to provide a heads-up in advance so you can make the best decision for your comfort. Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds related to building elevator issues beyond our control. 🌆 Urban Environment Reminder: Downtown brings vibrancy, character, and a wide range of people. You may encounter individuals from all walks of life, including members of the local unhoused community. While we’ve never had safety issues, we encourage awareness typical of any metropolitan area. Two Twin Rollaway beds are located in the bedroom closet to be used in the living room for extra guests. While we do provide parking for guests, we are not responsible for theft or damage to vehicle or contents. It is a flat lot with a gate that does not have lighting at night. Gate can malfunction and not close during your stay and host is not responsible. Guests are welcome to log into their own apps, subscription services, cable and streaming services are not included. ** Please note we reserve the right to have our guest do an additional screening before reservation begins through Truvi. Please ask host if applicable. ** You will also be given the choice between paying a refundable deposit or buying a non-refundable damage waiver. We suggest you buy the damage waiver as this protects you in case you cause accidental damage during a booking.

HOUSE RULES: Quiet hours 9:00pm-8:00am No parties, events, get-togethers or other similar events are allowed. No loud music or disturbances, especially noise past 9 pm. To help protect our property and maintain a high standard of guest safety, we partner with Truvi, an Airbnb-approved third-party affiliate that offers optional guest screening and a damage waiver in place of a traditional security deposit. Some reservations may be selected for Truvi screening. If selected, you’ll receive a secure link to complete a quick identity verification and authorize coverage. Completion of Truvi verification is requested to support a smooth check-in experience. If Truvi returns a “Not Approved” status or the verification is not completed prior to check-in, we may submit a cancellation request to Airbnb. Final decisions regarding cancellations or refunds are determined by Airbnb under their policies. By booking, you acknowledge that your reservation may be subject to Truvi verification, and failure to cooperate may result in cancellation through Airbnb. Do not have more guests than stated in your reservation and no unapproved visitors. There is a $50 per night per person fee for each person that is not stated in the number of guests in your reservation. Guests are welcome to log into their own apps, subscription services, cable and streaming services are not included. Guest(s) are not allowed to have mail/packages delivered to the residence. There are UPS, Post Office, and Amazon Hub stations available as an alternative in the area. All overnight guests 18+ must be registered on Airbnb with a valid ID uploaded to their account. We are not responsible or liable for any accidents, injuries or illnesses that occur while on the premises. Including but not limited to use of the gym, common spaces or apartment. We are not responsible if the gym is closed for any reason whatsoever or if any common spaces are not available during guest stay for any reason. We are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables during your stay. We cannot be responsible for any items left behind. For long term stays (over 7 days) toilet paper, paper towel, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, laundry detergent, soap, etc will be provided for the start of your stay but is the guest responsible to refill if they run out during their stay. The security system, which includes the doorbell camera, smoke detector as well as the WiFi equipment, are there for your safety and comfort; tampering with or disabling the security system and those items is a violation of house rules and will result in immediate cancellation of the reservation without refund. Guest must put the fob provided back into the lockbox and lock the box when they leave. Lost key fob will result in a $100 fine. Lost fan remote will result in a $100 fine. If guest locks themselves out after normal business hours, 9-5 - M-F, and are unable to access a back up fob, an after hours lock out charge of $75 will be charged to the guest. Cooking & Odor Policy – Extended House Rule Please exercise caution when cooking strong-smelling dishes or using pungent ingredients, as these may cause long-lasting odors that are difficult to remove through standard cleaning procedures. If excessive odors remain and impact the experience of future guests, an additional professional odor remediation and deep cleaning fee may apply, starting at $300. Common examples of strong-smelling items include, but are not limited to: Spices such as cumin, turmeric, curry powder, fenugreek, garlic, chili powder, and asafoetida (hing) Foods such as heavily spiced curries, fermented dishes, fried or oily foods, fish, bacon, and egg-based meals While guests are welcome to prepare meals of their choice, we kindly ask that cooking be done with ventilation (hood fans, open windows) and care to minimize residual smells. Smoking or vaping is strictly prohibited indoors. This includes cigarettes, e-cigarettes, cannabis, and all vape devices. If detected, a minimum $300 fee will be applied for professional cleaning and odor treatment. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a clean, comfortable, and odor-free environment for all guests. Pet Policy: Pet Fee $199 Guest agrees to building pet policy and required info. Guest agrees to sign and pay deposit through guest screening service Truvi. There is an elevator to get up to floor the apartment is located or stairs located to right of the elevator. If the elevator for whatever reason is not working, guests understand they must use the stairs. Unapproved late check out will result in a fee of $75 every 30 min after 11 am. If any of the above rules are violated, the guest agrees to pay a $75 fee for violating rules in addition to the agreed-upon stay amount if an amount wasn't already stated above. Host’s have the right to ask guests to leave immediately if in violation of one of the above rules, without refund.

Located in downtown Birmingham within walking distance to amazing restaurants, coffee shops, and music halls. Less than a mile to UAB and only a half a mile to UAB hospital. There is a stunning wedding venue, TJ Tower Events, and a restaurant Roots and Revelry, located in the building. Gym, movie room, pool table and convenience store are also located in the building The building is located in downtown, there are a variety of businesses, restaurants and foot traffic in the area.

Guest access

Guests will access the building with a key fob and access the apartment itself with a unique code. Guest is aware that there is multiple steps to getting checked in. They will have to park and retrieve the key fob which is on the side of the building between the parking lot and apartment building. Photos and video are provided through our online guidebook. Should they have any issues upon checking in, guest is required to reach out to the host for assistance. Guest will have to park their car first in either a paid or non-paid parking spot to then retrieve the building key fob and parking lot clicker. The location of the lockbox is on the side entrance of the building between the parking lot and the apartment building. NOTE There could be limited light/visibility in the evening. There is a multi-step process for checking into the residence. Photos and video are provided through our online guidebook upon booking.
